Summer Scholars being weird!!
Introduction:

Hi, I'm from Tuba City Junior High School going to be in the 7th grade. I'm in the NAU Summer Scholars program. I'm doing a report on the haze at the Grand Canyon. I came to this program because I thought it would be a lot of fun and to do stuff over the Summer and it is. I think the program is a lot of fun. I also felt that this program is good for a lot of kids because they are having fun and at the same time they are learning something. This week we are trying to save the Grand Canyon from haze. We learned how the power plants, wild and prescribed forest fires causes the haze around the Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona and other surrounding areas. I've done my research in the library, on the internet, making phone calls and reading articles.

Recommendation:
My recommendation is to have vehicles with solar panels on cars to have less pollution and at night have batteries and if you run out of energy in the batteries you can recharge it at home when you hook it up to an outlet to charge it up.

Positive Consequences:
Less pollution at the Grand Canyon, and don't have to gas up, refix your engine if a fuse is out or the engine went out and you can use it as long as you want.

Negative Consequences:
It would take up too much energy and the power plants will give off too much pollution and the haze is going to cause more pollution at the Grand Canyon.

Hazy Grand Canyon!!
