Tuba City Jr. High

Tuba City, Arizona

Introduction:

This week I was observing the haze at the Grand Canyon and how it affects the native birds. This week we also went on feild trips to different places like the power plant, the forest, and the Grand Canyon. The power plant, and the forest was to learn what they do to contribute to the haze in the Grand Canyon.

Recommendation
Put scrubbers and better filtering systems in power plants on the Colorado Plateau, and try to contain all of the pollutants like SO2, and particulate matter.

Positive Consequences
To ensure the future on the Grand Canyon's haze and pollution.
And to help the animals and plants.

Negative Consequences
All the power plants would be losing money and they would be set back a bit on their work.
And then they might rely on all the particulate matter and the SO2.
