Clear day at the Grand Canyon.
Introduction:

Our school went to a one week summer camp called "Summer Scholars." There we learned about the haze in the Grand Canyon. We  thought about the cause of the haze and where it came from, and what goes into the air that creates the haze. We also visited Cholla Power Plant, Ft. Valley Experimental Forest, and the Grand Canyon. We Also went and asked people where they though the haze in the Grand Canyon came from. Whether it comes from vehicles or from power plants, etc.

What Should be Done About the haze in the Grand Canyon?
Haze effects the visibility of the Grand Canyon by the color, clarity texture and form.  Haze effects how far and how well you can see the land.  Some of these pollutants are carried several miles and from far away places by the wind and weather.  Some of the haze in the Grand Canyon are caused by power plants, cars, and fires.  These are just some of the many reason why there is haze in the Grand Canyon.  The particulants that create haze in the Grand Canyon are Carbon Dioxide,Carbon Monoxide, Lead, Nitrogen No2, O-zone and Dust.

Recommendation:
The recommendation that we have for the people of this community and several others, is that we think that we should try to do away with power plants and vehicles. We think that these are the two main source of the cause of haze in the Grand Canyon and the main cause of pollution.

Positive Consequences:
Some of the positive consequences is that there won't be a lot of pollution in the atmosphere. There also won't be as many health problem that we have today. This is because we wouldn't have any vehicles to get to one place to another and they would have to find other means of transportion, such as bikes, walking, riding horses ect.

Negative Consequences:
The negative consequences we've come up with is, we won't have computers, televisions, stereos, ect. People will use other source of energy, they might come from factories that produce pollution and still there is no real way that we can get rid of pollution.

Look at the haze in the Grand Canyon.
