What is the B.A.i.L.S Degree?

Northern Arizona University's Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (BAiLS degree was developed to provide a flexible degree program that can be designed to meet your individual needs.  This university-wide interdisciplinary degree meets the needs of:

  • individuals entering occupations that require a broad general education

  • individuals who desire a bachelor's degree for career advancement

  • individuals primarily seeking personal intellectual enrichment

  • students enrolled in statewide academic programs

  • students considering a pre-professional program for medicine, dentistry, law, and veterinary medicine
