On and Off Campus Employers

The mission of NAU Student Employment is to support the educational programs of Northern Arizona University by providing students with practical work experience as well as financial assistance. The NAU community recognizes that the long term benefits of student employment not only enhance the academic experience for students but also improve services to the University and surrounding community.

NAU Student Employment uses Gateway Connects to post all on-campus and off-Campus jobs! This system allows you to post jobs on-line and directly contact students on-line through Gateway Connects!

STEP ONE: Register with Gateway Connects Go to http://www4.nau.edu/career/index.htm Click on "Employer" Click on “Click Here to Register” Click on “Can’t find your organization” Enter your Organization name Select “YES” if you are a NAU employer Complete Registration Information as required (required information will be marked with *) Note: If there are multiple people in your department who post jobs, each person must register to be able to enter jobs. However, once the first person has created your organization in the database, subsequent people can look up the organization and create a new contact Your organization will be activated within 24 hours of registration. Once you have been activated as an organization and contact, you may post jobs. STEP TWO: Posting a Job Once you have been activated, log into Gateway Connects with your User ID and password (from when you registered) Click on “My Jobs” at the top of the page and then “New Jobs” Enter position and contact/supervisor information as required Enter posting information as required Note: For BOTH Position Type and Applicant Type, make sure to choose Federal Work Study or Student Wage. Position Type and Applicant Type MUST match or students will not be able to view your job. DO NOT choose Non-degree PT/PT Temporary Your job will be activated within 24 hours of submission. Once activated, students may view your job and you may also look for students on the system.

Off Campus Employers

The Northern Arizona University Student Employment is a federally funded employment service that is free to employers and available to all NAU students regardless of financial need. Our program locates and develops off campus employment opportunities for students and assists employers in finding students to fill their job openings, building a bridge between the University and the Flagstaff community. Students employed by off-campus employers are paid by the employer. The NAU Student Employment Office does not place students in positions.
