The EARP cannot be accepted after the last day of instruction for the semester or summer session for which the permit is to be applied. This information is available at the Human Resources web site. Back to Top Can I receive an EARP and a Graduate Assistantship tuition waiver? No.  Graduate students receiving a graduate assistantship appointments are generally accompanied with tuition benefits (up to 75% waiver of tuition costs during Fall/Spring terms).  Graduate Assistants who are entitled to tuition benefits through the Educational Aid Registration Permit (EARP) (1-9 hours=$25) must choose between the two tuition benefit options and inform the Graduate College of their choice.  For more information on this policy, please visit:    nau.edu/gradcol/graduateAssistants.asp Back to Top How do I know if I'm required to submit a Dependent Affidavit? You must submit a Dependent Affidavit if: The EARP will be used for a dependent child with a different last name than the employee. The dependent applying for the EARP will be age 24 at any time during the calendar year in which the EARP is being applied. The dependent applying for the EARP is not listed as a beneficiary on the employee’s university benefits (i.e., health, dental).
