No. Graduate students receiving a graduate assistantship appointments are generally accompanied with tuition benefits (up to 75% waiver of tuition costs during Fall/Spring terms). Graduate Assistants who are entitled to tuition benefits through the Educational Aid Registration Permit (EARP) (1-9 hours=$25) must choose between the two tuition benefit options and inform the Graduate College of their choice.
