Paper Form Instructions

You must submit a paper EARP form if you, your spouse or dependent child are registered for classes at Arizona State University or University of Arizona.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
  • A legally Seperated spouse of an NAU employee does not qualify for the EARP.
  • An employee will be taxed on the value of the EARP for a spouse or dependent child taking graduate level classes.

  • Instructions:

Before submitting this form you, your spouse, or your dependent child must first be registered for classes. Overlooking this step will prevent your EARP from being verified and processed. To qualify for the EARP an employee must be benefit-eligible on the first day classes begin. If you are not sure, contact Human Resources at: 928-523-2223.

Please allow up to ten (10) working days for processing of your EARP. If additional information is needed, processing may be delayed; however, you will be contacted if this is the case.

If you mail your EARP to the Office of Student Financial Aid, it will be processed and then forwarded to the Bursar’s Office on your behalf unless you specify a return mailing address.

Faxed or photocopied paper EARP forms are no longer being accepted. Please submit a paper EARP form with an original signature.

A separate EARP must be submitted for each semester.

    • The EARP cannot be accepted after the last day of instruction for the semester or summer session for which the permit is applied.
    • Employees who have prepaid tuition before the start of the semester, and later terminate employment before the first day of classes are responsible for full payment of tuition.
    • After The Office of Student Financial Aid verifies and completes the EARP you have the option of having it mailed to you, faxed to ASU or U of A, or you can pick it up in person. The Office of Student Financial Aid is not responsible for lost EARP's mailed or faxed to the ASU or U of A.
