Visit Gateway Connects http://www.nau.edu/gatewayconnects to view tutorials that will walk you through using the system. After creating an account, you can log-in using your username and password to post job openings as they become available.
We recommend that employers use Gateway Connects for posting jobs for the following reasons:
- It is a searchable format for students--they can type in key words, locate your job, and submit a resume to you
- Students can use this database at their convenience, online, 24 hours a day and are not restricted to having to physically come into the office or conduct their search only during our office hours (this means you capture a larger pool of qualified students)
- It allows you search for students by major and by class level(seniors, etc.)
- It allows you to immediately see student resumes and contact them directly if you're interested in offering them an interview
- It allows you to collect resumes from interested students and then select strong candidates for interviews
- It reaches students who are actively looking for jobs and have done some preparation in that respect
- It removes the "middleman" --you can update your profile or make changes to job postings at your convenience online, 24 hours a day
- You can make minor changes to re-post jobs that are available every year
