Northern Arizona University offers variety of resources designed to meet the individual needs of students. From tutoring to counseling, to adjusting to student life, NAU is committed to ensuring that every student can find the support they need to succeed.
Social and Personal Assistance
The Counseling Center provides short-term psychological counseling, institutional testing, mental health and substance abuse educational programming, and consultation.
Financial Aid helps students and their families bridge the gap between their personal resources and the cost of attending school.
Fronske Health Clinic offers low cost physical and psychiatric services to students.
Academic Assistance
The Writing Center provides one-to-one tutoring with a writing consultant. Additionally, students may register for ENG 100, a one credit course, where students meet once a week with a writing consultant.
Student Support Services provides academic and educational services for undergraduate students who:
Are low income (Pell Grant Eligible)
First generation to college (neither parent having a four year degree)
And/or registered with Disability Support Services.
Cline Library provides both hard copy and electronic reference materials and books, as well as quiet study areas, computers, and study rooms.
Adjusting to Campus Life
NAU100 is a 1-credit course to help prepare students for the transition into university life.
EPS101 is a 3-credit course that helps students to develop goals, study habits, and time management skills to promote a successful university experience. (Open the catalog for the appropriate academic year and locate EPS 101 under classes for Educational Psychology for more information.)
Residence Life provides services for students living on campus.
Student Life helps all students with college life and connects students to clubs and campus groups.
