STUDY SITES

Study site reference # use river mile location. One site is located in Glen Canyon, the reach between Glen Canyon Dam and Lees Ferry (river miles -15 to 0). Twelve sites are located in Marble Canyon, the reach between Lees Ferry and the confluence with the Little Colorado River (river miles 0 to 61.5). Sediment inputs to Marble Canyon are largely from the Paria River [Andrews, 1990]. Twenty sites are located in Grand Canyon, the reach between the confluence with the Little Colorado River and the Grand Wash Cliffs (river miles 61.5 to about 280). Grand Canyon receives sediment from the Paria River, Little Colorado River, and other tributaries. No sites were examined downstream from Diamond Creek (river mile 226).
