Mission Statement

The mission of the NAU Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Prevention Program is to assist students achieve academic excellence and lead healthy lives by mitigating the impact of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs on students’ lives at the university through comprehensive, multidisciplinary, interdepartmental approaches to primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and treatment.

Program Goals

  • Promote a safe and healthy campus environment
  • Advocate healthy choices emphasizing the elimination of illegal use, high-risk behavior, harmful use and related violence
