Getting Started tips

  • Be physically active or work out at least 30 minutes a day and at least 3-5 days a week
  • Set aside specific time periods for exercise in your schedule
  • Find an activity you like: yogging, swimming, biking... even brisk walking will work!
  • Find somebody who will exercise with you and help you keep up your motivation
  • Think about where and how you can exercise when it is raining or snowing.
  • If you do not find the time to fit exercise into your schedule, make sure that you stay physically active. Start using the stairs instead of an elevator, park you car farther away in the parking lot and walk to your classes, ride your bike to school, etc.
  • Want to learn more about physical activity and exercise? Check out more online resources on the topic.
