Cline Library Electronic Reserves Fall 2003
Christopher
Scott will be a visiting lecturer on stem cell research as 190 classes read
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein during the fall semester. He
recommends the following articles on the general subject of stem cell
research:
http://www.ascb.org/publicpolicy/bergtest.htm
http://www.newscientist.com/hottopics/cloning/cloning_lifespanfaq.jsp
Scott
suggests that “the debate centers on therapeutic vs embryonic stem cell
cloning. In terms of making monsters (or healthy humans), therapeutic
cloning may hold promise for regenerating, hearts, lungs and limbs.”
