THE INTERACTIVE ARCHAEOLOGY OF SLAVERY

The Partnership for Public Archaeology (PPA) has assembled a multidisciplinary team to design an interactive CD-ROM and associated website for 7th to 12th grade students. The curriculum developed appreciates the realities of slavery and how slaves were able to maintain their identity in the face of relocation and enslavement. The CD-ROM and website will meet the goals of the National Education Standards through an increased understanding of scientific, mathematical and technology principles. This project is still in the research and development phase.
