
The Arizona Technology Access Program,(a program of the Institute for Human Development at Northern Arizona University),has a subcontract with the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, to provide a network of demonstration centers for the Arizona Telecommunication Equipment Distribution Program (AzTEDP). Mandated by the Arizona State Legislature, the Telecommunications Equipment Distribution program offers free telecommunications devices to qualified Arizona residents who are hard of hearing, deaf, late deafened, deafblind or speech impaired. Telecommunication equipment includes amplified telephones, voice carry over telephones, TTYs, telebrailllers, speech generation devices, and telephone alerting devices.
Cellular telephones and pagers are not included in the program.
