CBAIP - Capacity Building For American Indians Project

GOALS/OBJECTIVES

The Goals and Objectives of the CBAIP

The goal of the CBAIP is to provide national outreach, capacity building, technical assistance (TA), and training to American Indian tribes, Alaska Natives, and minority entities to enhance their capacity and increase participation in activities funded under the Act, including assistance to carry out their activities.

Objective I:
  • Provide three national grant writing workshops per year on RSA and NIDRR discretionary grant programs and provide follow-up TA to tribal VR grant writing staff/team through teleconferences, e-mail, fax and personal consultations in finalizing tribal VR proposals.
Objective II:
  • Provide outreach, TA and training to American Indians, Alaska Natives and minority entities that are first-time recipients of RSA and NIDRR discretionary grants, and staff members of existing tribal VR grants to increase their ability to implement and manage their grants.
