SCHOLARSHIP
The CREATE Scholarship Program provides scholars with the opportunity to complete the M.Ed. in Special Education Low Incidence/Severe-Profound emphasis with Certification. The Scholarship Program pays for tuition and fees associated with the completion of this two year program.
ONLINE, WEEKENDS, AND SUMMERS
The coursework required of CREATE is offered online, during weekends and during the summer. CREATE is designed for the working professional committed to completing a degree within the two year timeline of the program.
SCHOLAR COMMITMENT
Scholars must commit to teaching students with low incidence disabilities (LID)
upon completion of this program. Funding to support scholars will go towards
tuition and fees. A small stipend is also provided. Scholars must sign a service
agreement committing to complete the program of studies and to subsequently be
employed for a minimum of two (2) years working to support students who have low
incidence disabilities and assistive technology needs. Failure to meet this
requirement will result in the scholar’s repayment of all funds received.
ADVISEMENT
Advisement and applications are currently being accepted for the Fall 2011
cohort. Early advisement, prior to application is strongly recommended.
