ADE Assistive Technology Loan Closet

The ADE Assistive Technology Loan Closet was established through a contract with Arizona Department of Education, Exceptional Student Services to plan, develop and implement a statewide assistive technology short-term lending library. The Institute for Human Development will be responsible for the following activities:

• managing the At loan library
• collaborating with funding agency to identify hardware and software to supplement existing inventory
• maintaining the products and updating versions as appropriate
• maintaining collaborations with vendors and other relationships so product not available in the inventory can be borrowed from the vendors
• collaborating with funding agency to develop a systematic way for public education personnel to request borrowing of equipment
•  working with the funding agency to monitor the success of the program
• designing and develop data to chart borrowing trends that influence inventory usage
