President unveils details
of Innovation Fund

NAU President John Haeger has followed up with the university’s Strategic Planning and Budget Committee to develop the guidelines for the $1 million Innovation Fund
that solicits transformative ideas
from campus to promote innovation throughout the university. The president notes that he and
the provost already have received excellent ideas and he encourages others to share their best, creative thinking.

The president has sent
a letter to community business and civic leaders discussing a “decidedly unbalanced” article in the Arizona Daily Sun that failed to accurately portray NAU’s bidding process on its Health and Learning Center and NAU’s efforts to involve local firms in construction on campus.
