EAW offering Winter Challenge and new programs
If you need a nudge to stay active as the days get shorter, the Employee Assistance and Wellness office is offering Aerobic Winter Challenge and some new programs.
Aerobic Winter Challenge is a team-oriented incentive program to encourage regular physical activity during the chilly winter months. Registration is required and EAW is offering prizes to teams who meet their activity goals.
Teams are formed of five to 10 coworkers; spouses and partners are welcome to join. A team leader will submit monthly tallies and forward motivational e-mail messages to team members.
Activities can be just about anything and can take place anywhere. Choose activities you enjoy—walking, dancing, working out, gardening, raking leaves, yoga, etc.—and engage in those activities at least three times a week. For details, e-mail Ask-EAW@nau.edu or call 523-7797.
