Anthropology students present internship results

Experience news about ancient and modern cultures at the Applied Anthropology Post-Internship presentations, 2-4 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Agassiz room at the du Bois Center.

Anthropology graduate students will professionally present the results of their 2006 summer internships.

"These presentations illustrate the important perspective that anthropology provides to solving some of the world's problems. Our students are clearly making a difference in a variety of significant ways," said George Gumerman, anthropology chair.

Topics include preservation efforts at local and national parks and monuments, Native American cross-cultural experiences, car culture, cattle grazing, ceramics from ancient Peru and assessing ancient cultures.
