| Reception planned Dec. 6 for Cruz-Uribe
A reception honoring Kathy Cruz-Uribe, dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences who is leaving NAU after 17 years, is planned for Dec. 6. Hosted by President John Haeger and Provost Liz Grobsmith, the reception will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Havasupai rooms of the University Union. Cruz-Uribe has accepted a position as provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at California State University, Monterey Bay, beginning in January. Prior to being named dean in 2002, Cruz-Uribe also served as an assistant professor of anthropology, interim associate provost for research and graduate studies, and director of the Quaternary Studies program.
