Have the most wonderful time of the year at the Holiday Reception

Baby, it's cold outside, but there will be plenty of warmth at the annual President's Holiday Reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in the du Bois Center Ballroom.

John and Cecily Haeger invite the entire NAU family to enjoy some great food and holiday cheer and contribute to a worthy cause at the same time. Once again, the reception will include the Mountain of Giving, a donation center for three community organizations.

Everyone attending can bring a gift for the Northern Arizona Police Officers Toy Drive, the NAU Senior Companion/Foster Grandparents or the Northland Family Help Center.

When thinking of a gift, you may want to think like a teen-ager. Teens frequently are left out of the gift giving, mainly because they're so difficult to buy for. However, representatives from the agencies recommend a gift card from Target, Wal-Mart or somewhere similar and let the teens choose their own gift.

Seniors also have some basic wish lists. A complete list of gift suggestions is available here.

And as always, non-perishable foods will be accepted and donated to the Care and Share Food Bank.
