Three cheers for Help keep the Lumberjacks winning streak alive by coming out for a doubleheader Saturday featuring NAU's two first-place basketball teams playing the Sacramento State Hornets at the Walkup Skydome. At 6-0, the NAU men's basketball team is off to its best start in Big Sky Conference play since the 1998-99. The women's team will face Sacramento State at 2 p.m., followed by the men's game against the Hornets at 4:35 p.m. One ticket is good for both games and all NAU students get in free. Laura Kelly's women's squad is 8-0 at home this season. They are tied for first place in the league with a 3-1 overall record after defeating defending Big Sky Conference champion Montana Grizzlies last weekend in Missoula. In the Skydome last week, the Lumberjacks attracted a season-high 4,103 fans against Montana State and 3,417 fans against Montana. Those are two of the top ten basketball crowds in the last 10 years. Come out and be a part of the excitement of Lumberjack basketball in the Skydome. For information, contact the Central Ticket Office at 523-5661. |
