Tuition hearing scheduled for Feb. 27

A statewide hearing to discuss the tuition recommendations before the Arizona Board of Regents has been scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at sites across Arizona.

The hearing will be carried on cable TV channels as well.

Northern Arizona University will host the hearing in the Adel Math (building 26) in Flagstaff, in the Academic Complex, room AC 126, in Yuma, and Dexter School, room 106, in Prescott.

The hearing will be shown on NAU Cable channels 4 and 59.

Testimony and public comments will be heard on a first-come, first-served basis, rotating through the participating sites.

NAU President John Haeger has recommended a 3.6 percent across-the-board tuition increase for 2006-07, the lowest tuition increase in eight years and the lowest of the three state universities.
