  • John J. Doherty, librarian at Cline Library, recently published "Towards self-reflection in librarianship" in the Winter 2005/6 issue (#26) of The Progressive Librarian, a journal for critical studies and progressive politics in librarianship.
  • Pamela Stephens, assistant professor of art education, had her manuscript, "A Real Community Bridge: Informing Community-Based learning Through a Model of Participatory Public Art," published in the March issue of the Journal of the National Art Education Association.
  • Kris Swanson, associate professor of merchandising in the School of Communication, has published an article "Travel Motivations as Souvenir Purchase Indicators" in the international journal, Tourism Management.
  • Dennis Tanner, professor of health sciences, published a new book this month, An Advanced Course in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The book is intended for use in capstone courses where students bring together all of their education in a comprehensive course. The book uses the Unified Model of Communiction Sciences and Disorders schema that follows verbal communication through thought, expressive language, motor speech planning, motor speech production, speech acoustics, hearing, auditory perception and auditory association.
