Champion of women's rights portrayed

Nationally acclaimed performer and lecturer Sally Roesch-Wagner will portray 19th century women's rights champion Elizabeth Cady Stanton at 7 p.m. March 9 in the Cline Library Assembly Hall.

In character and costume, Roesch-Wagner shows how Stanton fought for equality and organized the first women's rights convention in 1848. One of the experts featured in Ken Burns' film about Susan B. Anthony and Stanton, Not for Ourselves Alone, Roesch-Wagner wrote the accompanying faculty guide and is author of numerous books.

This event is sponsored by the Northern Arizona University's Women's Studies Program, the Women's Studies Academic Service Organization and the NAU History Department. Admission is free.
