Carl Fox, Josh Allen to leave NAU

Two senior staff members have announced they're leaving NAU in search of new challenges and opportunities.

Carl Fox, vice provost for Research and Graduate Studies, will become the vice provost for Graduate Education at Montana State University in July.

Josh Allen, executive director of Alumni and Constituent Relations, has accepted a position with the Brecon Group, a consulting firm that works with non-profits and foundations in the areas of policy, project management, fundraising, and organizational and community development.

Fox has been with NAU since August 2001. "I have greatly enjoyed my time at NAU," he said, adding that he will be overseeing the administration and development of all MSU graduate programs.

"Dr. Carl Fox is uniquely qualified to take on these responsibilities," MSU Provost David Dooley told the MSU News Service. "He has the vision and experience to help MSU become even more prominent in graduate education."

Allen is an NAU graduate and began working for the university in 1993. Before becoming executive director of the Alumni Association, Allen was NAU's budget director and served for one year as interim vice president for administration.

"What I have been most excited about throughout my career, with all the changes, challenges and opportunities the university has faced, is in the end it has still remained the university I came to with its focus on the individual within the larger community," Allen said. "That is something I see as tremendously important and valuable, it has been rewarding to have assisted the university in maintaining that focus throughout my years at the institution. I will continue to cherish that about my alma mater, NAU."
