When P1 closes this summer, 409 spots will be removed permanently. The parking garage on central campus, scheduled to open in the fall, will alleviate some difficulties, but other plans are in works.

Although not finalized, plans include:

Description (after P1 is closed)	Capacity
Convert tennis courts on Franklin (near Lumberjack Stadium)	150
Convert Lumberjack Commons (between Communication and Biology)	50 (50 more in spring)
Modify P28, Fronske Health Center	14
Modify P7, Lumberjack Stadium	50
Change 3A (near Old Main) to resident parking only	20
Make Mountain View Drive one way and add stalls for residents	20
Central campus parking garage	600 (fall 2006)
TOTAL	304 immediately (954 by spring)

Other changes include restricting residents to residence hall lots within their zone from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to reduce campus traffic, eliminating "All Commuter" permits and adding shuttle buses.
