The Inn offers charming patio dining Take a bite out of the summer doldrums with a meal from the Inn at NAU. The Inn's Garden Terrace Patio is open for a breakfast buffet from 7 to 9 a.m. daily, and for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Reservations are suggested. Joining the Inn management staff this summer is student assistant general manager Joseph Makwara, who came to NAU from Zimbabwe on a track and field scholarship and decided to pursue NAU's hotel and restaurant management degree. "Tourism is big back home and my father is also in the business," Makwara said.
The Inn at NAU is the living laboratory of the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. As a result, it's tip and tax free. Students like Makwara put their classroom learning into practice while developing skills for their future. "As much as the Inn is a training lab, we still operate professionally, giving me the experience that I will need to apply when I graduate," Makwara said. "I have acquired so much confidence in dealing with people." Makwara says The Inn offers one of the best values in town. "The food is even more enjoyable with great service and a hospitable environment." View information about The Inn online, including menus, events and more.
