Apple recalls laptop batteries

Due to a potential overheating issue, Apple has issued a battery recall for several models of its laptops.

The affected batteries were sold worldwide from October 2003 through August 2006 for use with the following notebook computers: 12-inch iBook G4, 12-inch PowerBook G4 and 15-inch PowerBook G4.

To determine if your laptop battery is subject to recall, visit Apple's recall site.

ITS is working to identify NAU-owned laptops that could be affected by the recall. If you use an NAU owned laptop that could fall into the recall, you may be contacted by email.
