Spanish Film Festival accents Pedro Almodóvar
Flagstaff residents will no longer have to order Spanish films from their Netflix account to taste a bit of Spain.
The films of Pedro Almodóvar, the most successful and internationally known contemporary Spanish filmmaker, will be featured at the Spanish Film Festival on Oct. 20 and 21 at Northern Arizona University.
The free festival will be held at Cline Library Assembly Hall.
Sponsored by the School of Communication and the College of Arts and Letters, the festival is made possible with a grant from the Program for Cultural Cooperation between Spain's Ministry of Culture and United States universities.
The timing of the festival coincides with the re-release of Almodóvar films by Sony Pictures Classics. The films will be in Spanish with English subtitles. All are rated R and contain frank adult material.
