Hot Spot to celebrate
grand opening

Campus Dining at Northern Arizona University invites faculty, staff and students to join in a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 30 at the newly renovated Hot Spot in the University Union.

The event will be from 4:30 to 5 p.m. NAU President John Haeger and Sodexho Senior Vice President Bill Lacey will be on hand to cut the ribbon and kick-off the celebration.

"The changes at the Hot Spot reflect some of the many improvements we're making to enhance the student experience at Northern Arizona University," Haeger said. "From dining options and recreation to residence halls and the learning environment, NAU is living up to its reputation for offering an outstanding residential experience for our students."

The Hot Spot, where Union Station and the Eatery used to be located, has twice the seating capacity and includes six new all-you-can-eat restaurants. This new concept combines modern architectural style with exhibition cooking, fresh food and new recipes ranging from Pan-Asian to Italian, vegan, vegetarian and even traditional style home-cooked meals.

Appetizers at the grand opening will provide an opportunity to sample the new cuisine. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. with live music to follow.
