NAU helping to warm
the community

Members of the Classified Staff Advisory Council gathered Nov. 9 to bag 2,600 items of warm clothing that were donated over the last month during the council's fifth annual warm-clothing drive on the NAU campus.

Pictured from left are Kathy Kimball, office specialist in The W.A. Franke College of Business; Elane Gillman, office specialist in the Registrar's office; Pamela Plude, program coordinator in the College of Health and Human Services; Lorri Hull, administrative assistant in the Multicultural Student Center; and Vicki Creager, accounting specialist for Residence Life.

The clothing went to the Sunshine Rescue Mission, Hope Cottage Women and Children's Mission, Sharon Manor, Northland Family Help Center, the Guidance Center and Catholic Charities.

In addition to donations from NAU faculty, staff and students, several area businesses donated items for the clothing drive, including Boyer Metal, Unisource, NEBS and the county attorney's office.

"Due to the generosity of the NAU and Flagstaff community as one, we were able to donate to more organizations this year," said organizer Vicki Creager.
