Family and friends of William A. Franke gathered Nov. 8 at the lush Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix to celebrate his support of Northern Arizona University and to honor a special university supporter. Franke invested $25 million in the newly named W.A. Franke College of Business in May. As a result, NAU President John Haeger said Franke's gift "raises the bar across campus in terms of fundraising and our commitment to undergraduates" and transforms the university as a whole. NAU graduate Scott Coor, who was instrumental in bringing Franke's gift to fruition, was honored by Haeger with a Presidential Medal for his commitment to the university. | |||
