Geography Awareness Week embraces Asian theme

Geography Awareness Week flows from Nov. 13 to 16 with a number of scheduled events.

This year's theme is Asia and to get the globe spinning, the week begins Nov. 13 with a breakfast where information on the geography trivia contest and student essay contest will be provided. Prizes include NAU apparel and Swiss Army watches.

Another highlight is a presentation on Thursday by visiting geography scholar Yijun Zhou on China's three gorges.
