  • The multimedia animation "Liprotein Transport," produced by Lon Owen, biology professor, and NAU's e-Learning Center, is referenced in the trade publication, Exploring Motion Graphics. Clint Forrester, visual communications major and student designer for the center, created the artwork and most of the animation.
  • Emily Gibson, a senior history major and an honors student from Phoenix, was elected a student member of the National Collegiate Honors Council board of directors. The council is the professional society for honors programs in the United States and also has international membership.
  • Kathe Shinham, vice president for Administration and Finance, will continue as a member of the board of the Central Association of College and University Business Officers. She also will serve on the Audit Committee. The association is a nonprofit group representing chief business officers at more than 700 institutions.
  • Joshua Wolff, art education graduate student, has published an article, "Creating Abstract Communities" in the January issue of SchoolArts magazine.
