KAFF AM to carry NAU basketball

KAFF Country Classics (AM 930) has joined the Lumberjack Radio Network as a local affiliate for men's and selected women's basketball broadcasts for the remainder of the 2006-07 season.

The station will carry the NAU men's basketball contest at Idaho State on Thursday night starting at 6:35 p.m. with the Lumberjack Pregame Show. Mitch Strohman will call the action from courtside.

"We are excited about this new partnership with Northern Arizona University athletics," said Rich Guest, president of the Great Circle Radio Family. "NAU is a cornerstone in our community and we are happy to step in and support Lumberjack basketball. We are pleased we are able to build upon our long-standing relationship with NAU by providing to our community another way to support NAU's basketball teams."

KAFF joins KVNA (AM 600) as an affiliate. Recent signal difficulties have limited KVNA's availability across the Flagstaff market.

"AM 930 KAFF Country Classics will provide Lumberjack fans an option in the market to hear all the action this season," said Steve Shaff, assistant athletics director. "We are grateful to them for their assistance with this issue."
