Dance team finishes fifth
at national competition

The Northern Arizona University dance squad finished fifth at the 2007 College Nationals in the Division I Hip Hop category in Orlando last week.

The squad advanced to the finals, recording the best performance by the squad in school history.

NAU, which was the final competitor in the semifinals, advanced to the finals competition by beating Missouri State, Southern Illinois, James Madison and Cal-State Long Beach. NAU finished fifth overall in the finals.

The NAU cheer team finished seventh in the 2007 College Nationals in the Division I category. Morehead State won the team title.
