Black History Month this week Student organizers of Black History Month are betting on an interesting evening tonight with an open mic session held to encourage the sharing of poetry and music celebrating African-American heritage. Sponsored by the Black Student Union, Open Mic begins at 6:30 p.m. in the University Union's Eatery. This event is free. The art of poetry also is featured in Love Jones, a movie about a young African-American poet living in Chicago. Brought to you by the Multicultural Student Center and Sechrist Hall, it will show at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Sechrist Hall Lobby. This event is free.
