Tanzanian doctor to discuss
African health-care challenges

The plight of HIV/AIDS and delivering health care in Africa will come into focus for NAU students and the public when Mark George Mvungi from Tanzania visits the Mountain Campus, April 4-12.

Mvungi, a physician and surgeon who practices medicine in Tanzania, will meet with various classes and will speak at a free public lecture, "The Plight of HIV/AIDS and Its Impact on Health Care Delivery in Tanzania," at 5 p.m. April 9 in room 135 of the Liberal Arts building.

During his visit, Mvungi will meet with health sciences, sociology and nursing classes. The faculty is invited to a "Visit with Visiting Scholar" development seminar at 9:30 a.m., April 6 in the Agassiz Room of the du Bois Center.
