Gabaldon gives us a chance
to hear her commencement speech

Commencement honoree Diana Gabaldon gave a brief thank-you to the students, friends and parents at a ceremony May 11 for the graduates of the colleges of Engineering and Natural Sciences and Arts and Letters.

An on-stage mix-up, however, left Gabaldon speechless, in a way, and the best-selling author and NAU graduate did not give her entire commencement address.

With the help of NAU's Theresa Bierer, Gabaldon has recorded her earnest, often funny advice to the graduating class of 2007.
