ITS recommends e-mail users switch from Eudora by June 30 Eudora Pro users should switch e-mail programs by June 30, when the manufacturer stops production and support of its popular software, ITS has announced. ITS said it is impractical and insecure to continue support for a discontinued product and will end campus support for Eudora on Sept. 30. The department suggests that Eudora users convert to another NAU-supported e-mail client prior to June. Windows users can switch to either Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook. Macintosh Eudora users can switch to either Thunderbird or Apple's Mac Mail. The conversion process to supported e-mail programs is clear and easy, and the user's address books and mail folders are all preserved and converted to the new program. Contact the Solution Center for assistance moving from Eudora to a different e-mail client. Call (928) 523-1511 or e-mail Ask-ITS@nau.edu. |
