• J.W. Hardy, head coach for NAU's Track and Field, along with Idaho State's Dave Nielsen, were honored by fellow conference coaches this month as the Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Coaches of the Year after leading their respective teams to the conference titles.
• Janna Jones, associate professor in the School of Communication, was an invited speaker for a cinema workshop on May 11 at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia. The workshop, funded by the Australian Research Council, brought together cinema scholars across Australia. While at the University of Wollongong, Jones co-taught an undergraduate cinema class and consulted with doctoral students and professors about their research.
