Eight employees win President's Achievement Awards

Eight Northern Arizona University employees have been selected for the 2007 President's Achievement Award, considered the highest staff recognition from the university.

The winners are:

Janet Bauer Program Coordinator Distance Learning, Paradise Valley	Mary Delfino-Debold Assistant to the Dean School of Health Professions	Claudia Gallinger Nurse, Senior Fronske Health Center	Travis McAdam Custodial Area Supervisor Capital Assets
Duane Nelson HVAC Controls Mechanic Capital Assets	Pamela Plude Program Coordinator, Senior School of Health Professions	Marilee Sellers Manager College of Engineering and Natural Sciences	Mike Taylor Support Systems Analyst, Sr. Cline Library

Classified staff and service professionals are eligible to be nominated by peers or supervisors.

The winners were selected on three criteria:

• promoting strong positive interpersonal relations and creating a sense of true community through their presence and manner of job performance
• having complete job mastery and performance that far exceeds NAU expectations and being effective at meeting goals and objectives
• demonstrating active support and loyalty to NAU, its goals, objectives and values.

The recipients each will receive a $1,000 award and were honored at a luncheon today.
