Capital Assets longtime employee dies Robert Frank Magana, a painter in NAU's Capital Assets for 22 years, died June 5, 2007. "Rob lit up his workplace with an infectious smile that spread to all with whom he came into contact," said Mark Flynn, executive director of Capital Assets and Services. "His smile and gentle laugh had the power to brighten any day. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed." Born Feb. 6, 1957, to Robert G. and Lucy M. Magana in Flagstaff, Mr. Magana graduated from Flagstaff High School, enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father and two grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, daughters Melanie Magana of Phoenix and Mailani Magana (German) of Flagstaff; a grandson; the mother of his daughters, Lisa Garcia Magana of Flagstaff; sisters Angela Bazan, Christine (Jimmy) Baca, Kathy Magana and Mona (Thomas) Voorhees, all of Flagstaff; and brother Genaro Ray (Desiree) Magana, also of Flagstaff, and numerous nieces and nephews.
