The campus community is joining together to roll out the red carpet for Northern Arizona University's newest group of freshmen.

"Orientation has just started and as we're meeting with new students and their parents we're talking about small class sizes, personal attention by faculty, a wonderful residential university, an opportunity to get actively involved in the life of the campus and lots and lots of student organizations and activities," said David Bousquet, vice president of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.

Whether they've chosen NAU for its size, the small town charm of Flagstaff and its four-season climate, or the university's focus on experiential learning, more than 6,000 students and parents—some from as far away as Alaska and Florida—are getting their first taste of life on the Mountain Campus this summer during one of 15 two-day orientation sessions.
