- Greta Murphy, assistant professor of art history, will be presenting on "Jimmie Durham's Self-Portrait: 'As large as life, and twice as natural!'" at the second annual Conference on the Arts in Society in Kassel, Germany, on Aug. 21-24. Her paper scrutinizes the concept of racial authenticity as mediated by gender.
- Richard Quartaroli, Cline Library special collections librarian, had an article about the Grand Canyon River Guides Oral History Project, "Simply Messing About in Boats," published in the May 27-September 3, 2007 issue of The Guide to Grand Canyon National Park: South Rim. The oral histories are archived in special collections and many of them, plus more than 55,000 other items (photographs, manuscript material, maps, etc.) may be found online through the Colorado Plateau Digital Archives.
