PeopleSoft scheduled for weekly updates, downtime

A new weekly schedule for the university's PeopleSoft system will shut down online access to human resources and student services each Sunday from 4 to 8 a.m., beginning June 24.

ITS will use the scheduled time to update PeopleSoft—which includes the Lumberjack Online University Information Environment, more commonly called "LOUIE Online"—with security patches and to perform routine maintenance. Students, faculty and staff use the system for tasks ranging from enrolling in classes and recording grades to applying for jobs, employee timekeeping and receiving compensation.

Users will be notified in advance if the downtime is expected to extend beyond 8 a.m.
