NAU Bookstore to undergo
major remodeling

The NAU Bookstore is scheduled to begin a full-scale remodeling project on June 18, adding new fixtures, flooring and lighting as well as new architectural features.

The store will remain open during the project, which is expected to be completed no later than Aug. 18.

Follett Higher Education Group, which operates the NAU Bookstore, proposed the $1 million remodeling project as part of its contract with the university. The extensive project also will include a stone fireplace and internet workstations for students.

The bookstore will need to be reconfigured as work progresses, so alternate entrances and clerk service for merchandise will be used to maintain customer access.
